VANVEDA – THE SOUL OF NATURE
Hello Guys
This blog is about my journey from being an actor to a founder . I’ll try and cover all your FAQs about Vanveda and the products in detail .
BEGINNINGS
As a child I would react to everything toxic; be it a chemical , pollution/dust , food or even people at times .
Learning how to meditate in my early 20’s enhanced that many folds because i developed this mechanism , of learning to protect my system by reacting to toxicity physical or mental .
People think of allergies as a disease but i believe they can be your body’s aide and save you from harm . In my case i don’t suppress my symptoms , i just try to tune in and recognize the cause and avoid it .
As an actor on shoots too , i’ve had swollen eyes thanks to expired eye shadows that make-up men use on shoots many a times . I’ve been rushed to a hospital once and been put on a nebuliser for reacting badly , after being exposed to persistent cigarette smoke .
I often got rashes all over my body after playing holi as a child, making me stick to organic colours hence .
And i reacted instantly to a lot of skincare and make-up products too ; but i consider it my body’s warning of toxic chemicals present in them .
All these things and more in life are toxins that most people don’t have instant reactions too , but it doesn’t stop these things from causing people terminal illnesses .
Which means non-sensitive people end up slow poisoning themselves because they often don’t react to harm, that common products are causing them each day .
Thanks to this odd combination of my heightened awareness because of meditation , along with my multiple allergic reactions and knowledge of ayurveda along with family lineage into it ; that i was able to curate skincare / personal care products for my own sensitive self .
A childhood school friend and my soul sister became my first two customers .
Evetually out of pure boredom of auditions , useless meetings and pointless dates ; i decided to take a break from that life and give it a new direction . I decided to give my skincare venture a name and have more people try these self-curated products out .
I got my first few orders via our facebook page

I was divinely guided there after and ran into a wonderful graphic designer who helped me bring my vision to reality in no time and ‘Vanveda – The Soul Of Nature’ was born .
The good word spread by word of mouth and one thing lead to another .
I shifted base to Gurugram and decided to grow Vanveda into the brand i had envisioned owning as a child .
Ethical , environment friendly , people friendly and sensitive skin+child friendly , with an essence of my home-town and roots and with the intention to empower artisans , workers and rural women .
I feel honored to say i’ve accomplished most of these goals so far but there is way more I’d like to do on ‘helping the rural craftsmen and women’ front .
So far i try and source my packaging , printing and labelling supplies from small ventures . I employ young in-experienced freelancers for most of my work .
And i also support some causes on a regular basis from the proceeds vanveda generates ; mostly towards sponsoring education for under-privileged kids in slums or rural areas.
I hope I am able to make a far greater difference and help create employment for many one day . Gratitude for the constant love and support and keep it coming always !
GUIDE TO VANVEDA
Lets start with describing the products , their formulation and the purpose they serve.

Lip Salves 
Did you know most lip balms and lipsticks are made of petroleum jelly and contain mineral oil which are carcinogenic . Most commercially available lip balms simply coat the lip without penetrating skin , keeping it dry so one uses them again and again .
Most peoplealso end up swallowing them, making these extremely unsafe .
At Vanveda , we curate edible and hydrating lip salves which don’t just coat the dry lips but actually moisten and soften them by getting soaked deep into the skin .
These yummy smelling lip salves are made of edible ingredients like shea butter , bees-wax , pure coconut oil and clairified butter ( desi ghee ) making them completely safe for one and all . They come in two variants

This is a pre-wash hair repair mask to soften damaged hair and nourish roots with a blend of therapeutic oils and ingredients . It contains Rosemary essential oil along with Bhringraj , Coconut and Almond oil blended with ayurvedic herbs ; that cure dandruff , soften hair and stimulate hair growth.

Usage Directions – Dilute 3-5 spoons of hair pack with a little water and apply it thoroughly on hair and scalp for 30-40 mins , then rinse and shampoo hair
